In my personal view, switching from Automation to Computer Science is not an especially large cross-disciplinary jump. Although the two majors differ in their overall direction, they still share many foundational courses. The fact that Electronics, Computer Science, and Automation are sometimes grouped together under a School of Information (in some institutions) also illustrates this point to a large extent. Therefore, choosing to take the graduate entrance exam in the direction of Computer Science is still a fairly reasonable option.
