I strongly do not recommend learning VB. Although VB was once fairly widely used because of its simplicity in programming, in recent years it has basically reached the point of being ignored by almost everyone, and even Microsoft’s own development platform (IDE) no longer includes VB.
If you really want to learn a beginner-friendly language that is easy to pick up on the Windows platform, C# is a relatively good choice as VB’s successor. Of course, if circumstances allow, learning Python would be an even better option overall.
