First, find out whether your university has a mechanism for changing majors, and if so, what the process is. If not, then consider whether you are willing to bear the time and energy cost of dropping out and repeating a year to switch majors.

Second, if you want to switch majors simply because you are not doing well in C programming, then I’m afraid no major will suit you if that is your pattern of thinking. You should think carefully about whether you truly have no interest in C, or whether you genuinely feel that this major is not right for you.

Third, if the issue is lack of interest, keep in mind that Environmental Science is in no way less difficult or less tedious than Computer Science. You can look up the Environmental Science curriculum online, watch a few open courses, and test whether your interest really lies there.
