For Android users, I have to recommend an unexpectedly amazing tool I discovered recently: Microsoft Launcher. Ever since Windows Phone suffered a complete defeat, Microsoft may have seemed to lose momentum in the smartphone space. But in reality, it has quietly been building up for a bigger move. Recently, it released Microsoft Launcher for Android, which can honestly be called a powerhouse app—or at least something with the potential to become one.

This launcher integrates much of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Cortana, the Office suite, Bing Search, Skype, OneDrive, and most of the system features you would use on a Windows 10 PC. It also includes a large selection of beautiful wallpapers that can be updated anytime with just one tap. On top of that, it provides a phone companion feature for quickly connecting your phone and computer to exchange files, somewhat similar to AirDrop on Apple devices.

Overall, it really feels like Microsoft is trying to leverage its strength on the desktop side and join the fight against both Android and Apple more aggressively. It is definitely worth a try.
