It’s a good idea, but one thing that should not be overlooked is that core courses still play an irreplaceable role, both now and in the future, and they should not be taken lightly. For example, if you want to work in areas such as artificial intelligence, your level of understanding of mathematics may determine the professional height you can ultimately reach. If you cannot understand the principles behind it, then you can only remain at the level of application.
