[Answer] How Should We View Meng Wanzhou’s Latest Open Letter Published on Huawei’s Xinsheng Community on December 2, “Your Warmth Is the Beacon Lighting My Way Forward”?

This may not really be directly related, but for some reason it suddenly made me think of the fatalism found in traditional Chinese culture: every sip and every peck, nothing is without prior cause.

Since Li Hongyuan could be set up by Huawei and thrown into jail, with the company even taking the attitude of “If you don’t accept it, then sue me,” then perhaps some unseen force has placed Meng Wanzhou in her current situation as well. At the very least, Meng Wanzhou is still under house arrest at home, which is far better than what Li Hongyuan went through.
