I feel the main issue lies in thinking patterns and study methods. Besides, studying is ultimately a matter of competing with yourself, so there is no need to be influenced by the outside world.

Given the nature of engineering, mathematics is absolutely the top priority. A solid foundation in advanced mathematics is fundamental to mastering all science and engineering courses, so this is something you should devote special effort to. It is not just about solving problems, but more importantly about trying to truly understand the material.

In electrical engineering, circuits are the foundation. If possible, I would suggest buying a foreign textbook on circuit theory for reference. There are two reasons for this. First, foreign textbooks are generally better at explaining complex ideas in a simple and accessible way, whereas domestic textbooks often rely heavily on the teacher’s instruction. Without a really good teacher—which is actually quite hard to come by—it can be difficult to learn well from them. Second, foreign textbooks usually include more hands-on components, such as software simulation. This can both deepen your understanding and be highly practical for your future studies and work, so it can be considered an effective approach.

In addition, discuss more and communicate more. Don’t get stuck obsessing over problems on your own. This is one of the most effective ways to learn.
