[Answer] Do You Think It’s Necessary to Have Children?

For individuals, this is a matter of personal perspective. For families, it is a decision about a change in family membership. For a nation and society, it concerns the continuation of the population and the survival of society itself. So on the broadest level, from the perspective of the continuation of the human race, of course it is necessary to have children. But how many children people should have, and what methods should be used to assess and guide that, are questions at the macro level.

For families, although child-free households are not uncommon, one of the purposes of forming a family is also to promote the development and continuation of society through a reliable and stable social unit. In that sense, having children is also, in most cases, a necessary part of family life. For individuals, there is freedom to choose whether or not to have children, but since reproduction is often not something one person can accomplish alone, it needs to be discussed and agreed upon at the level of partners and family.

Children are undoubtedly one of the most precious gifts we can receive in our limited lives. In the process of raising them, parents gain a complete life experience. These are experiences that are difficult to describe unless one has lived through them personally. The gaps in our memory of the earliest stages of life are, in a sense, filled in. Personally, I believe that the happiness and sense of accomplishment parents gain from their children far outweigh the effort involved in raising them. This is part of the instinct we are born with, and it deserves to be fulfilled and realized.
