[Answer] Which specialties in the Internet/IT industry will grow rapidly in the next few years?

In my personal view, the most promising directions in the Internet industry at the moment are still big data, artificial intelligence, the industrial internet, and possibly quantum computing.

The main reason is that, whether in the traditional internet or the mobile internet sector, the benefits of rapid scale growth are gradually disappearing. What remains, if the industry wants to keep moving forward, is innovation. And when it comes to innovation, unless there is some new breakthrough technology, the most likely areas for new opportunities are these emerging and dynamic fields.

Why do I say this? Because with data and computing as their foundation, artificial intelligence and data science seem to be solving—or have already solved—a considerable number of problems that could not be addressed in the past due to hardware limitations. In the future, they may solve even more.

These areas are actually quite broad. Big data and artificial intelligence are, after all, just tools for solving problems. To truly solve real-world problems, they still need to be integrated with specific industries—and that is where the opportunities lie.

For example, applying artificial intelligence in the automotive industry could lead toward autonomous driving. In professions such as accounting and law, data analysis could enable automated robotic services. To some extent, these new technologies may become an opportunity to revive and transform the existing internet industry.
